 Balfour
is a busy summer resort area on the shores of Kootenay Lake, in the valley
of the Selkirk Mountain ranges, midway between the historic city of Nelson
and the picturesque village of Kaslo.
 MurrayPond
B and B is just moments from the west Kootenay Lake ferry terminal, the
junction of highways 31 and 3a, and the many amenities that Balfour has to
offer for your holiday stay.
The tastefully decorated Clematis Room
has a king size bed with premium mattress and quality linens, as well as a
comfortable twin-size pull out bed. A table and chairs are by the window,
where you can write or read with a view overlooking the garden and lily
pond. Wireless Internet, cozy electric fireplace, TV with DVD/VCR, bar
fridge, coffee-maker and hair dryer are also provided. Relax on the
private entrance patio with its afternoon sun and shade from a maple tree.
 Honeysuckle
Room upstairs will be available when renovations are complete this
summer. This is a queen room with en suite bath that has a soaker tub and
separate shower. A guest lounge is available downstairs with TV and a
selection of movies and books.
 Enjoy
your breakfast in the dining room, on the vine-covered veranda or
south-facing sun deck with mountain views, or have it on a tray in your
room.
 We
take pride in the healthful, home-baked goodies, freshly ground fair trade
organic coffee, and the locally grown seasonal ingredients offered in our
breakfast selections.
 Special
dietary considerations such as allergies must be noted when booking.
Activities
just outside your door include: swim, bike, fish, hike, golf, boat
or kayak, surrounded by spectacular Kootenay scenery, then take the short
drive to beautiful Ainsworth Hot Springs for a relaxing soak.
 It's
just a two-minute walk to a sandy beach with clear, fresh water, and five
minutes' walk to the heart of Balfour. There, you'll find grocery
with liquor store, post office and video rentals, both fine dining and
fast food, two pubs, a bakery with coffee shop, tackle and gift shop, gas
station and mechanic, and clothing shop. Boat launch and kayak or
canoe rentals are close by. Balfour's own beautiful 18-hole golf
course is just across the highway up the hill.

Two night minimum on Holiday Weekends. Two or occasionally three
night minimum requirement on festival/holiday weekends. 50% deposit
to hold room required when reservation is made. Refund (minus $20
fee) if cancelled 14 days prior to reservation date. No pets.

Credit Cards Not Accepted At This Time. Cash, personal cheques and
traveler's cheques welcome.
